When I was only 6 weeks old, something big happened. Something that would change my life forever. One hot summer June a young girl and her family came to visit me on the dusty old farm. She yelled “Lola”. I did not know what that meant, but, I came a runnin’ anyway. The next thing you know, I’m going home with her and her family. Everyone welcomed me with lots of kisses, hugs and petting. It was almost too much.… almost. From that day on, that girl has been my bff. Nowadays, I know my name is Lola.
